In high speed photography you work more like a script writer. You create scenarios that take less than 1/1000 of a second. Sometimes it takes hours to find the moment when light, composition and materials match your timeline.
Photographer Michael van Emde Boas started his career more than 25 years ago. The last five years he has been into high speed photography. He is based in Amsterdam, works all around the world.
The best way to describe Michael's high speed photography is combining creative high speed with the best equipment available on the market, while working on your script in the tiniest detail possible.

About Michael
I was born in 1969 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, where I have lived ever since. In 1995 I started my own photo studio in the centre of Amsterdam.
